💬 WhatsApp Coexistence Setup Guide for EasySocial
This guide walks you through the complete process of connecting your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) with EasySocial using Meta’s WhatsApp Coexistence feature.
With this setup, you can:
- Continue using the WhatsApp Business App as usual, and
- Manage the same WhatsApp number from EasySocial for automation, broadcast campaigns, CRM, and analytics.
⚙️ Part 1: Connecting via Desktop (Steps 1–9)
Step 1: Review EasySocial Access Request
- When you initiate the connection from EasySocial:
- A Facebook Business Extension (FBE) popup will appear.
- Review the request to confirm that EasySocial is requesting access to your WhatsApp Business Account.
- Ensure that you are logged into the correct Facebook account associated with your WhatsApp Business.
- Click Continue to proceed.
📸 This step ensures that EasySocial can communicate securely with your Meta Business Account.
Step 2: Log In with Facebook
- You’ll be redirected to the Login with Facebook page.
- Choose the Facebook account linked to your Business Manager and WhatsApp Business Account.
- Allow all requested permissions to enable full integration.
- Click Continue.
💡 This step authenticates your identity and confirms that you have admin access to the associated business assets.
Step 3: Confirm Login
- Facebook will prompt: “Continue as [Your profile name].”
- Verify that this is the correct profile and click Continue as [Your profile name].
If you manage multiple Business Managers, ensure you select the one tied to your WhatsApp Business Account.
Step 4: Authorize EasySocial Access
- You’ll see a message asking if you want to allow EasySocial to access your WhatsApp Business Account data.
- This connection enables EasySocial to manage messages, send notifications, and synchronize contacts.
- Click Continue to grant authorization.
Step 5: Select Your WhatsApp Business Account
- From the list, choose the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) you want to connect.
- If you manage multiple accounts, verify the business name and ID to avoid confusion.
- Click Continue to move forward.
🔍 This selection ensures that EasySocial is connected to the correct WhatsApp Business entity under your Meta account.
Step 6: Choose the Phone Number
- Meta will now display all available phone numbers linked to your selected WABA.
- Choose the WhatsApp phone number you’d like to link with EasySocial.
- Click Continue to confirm.
Step 7: Verify Connection in WhatsApp Business App
- Open your WhatsApp Business app on your registered mobile device.
- You’ll see a banner confirming that your number is now linked to EasySocial via Meta’s Business Platform.
- Tap Got it or Continue to acknowledge.
⚠️ This does not affect your current chats or customers. You’ll continue to use WhatsApp as before.
Step 8: Wait for Account Linking
- The system will take a few moments to securely link your WhatsApp account with EasySocial.
- Avoid closing the browser tab during this process.
Step 9: Successful Connection Confirmation
- Once connected, a success screen will appear in EasySocial.
- It will display your connected Business Account, Phone Number, and Facebook Business Manager.
- You’ll see a green checkmark or “🎉 Congratulations!” message confirming successful setup.
- Click Finish Setup or Go to Dashboard to continue.
✅ Your WhatsApp Business Account is now successfully connected to EasySocial.
🪜 Step 10: Transition to Mobile Verification
After completing the desktop connection process, you need to verify and activate the coexistence connection on your mobile device using the WhatsApp Business app.
📱 Part 2: Mobile Coexistence Setup (Steps 11–16)
Step 11: Verify EasySocial Connection on Mobile
- Open your WhatsApp Business app.
- Go to Settings → Business Tools → Business Platform.
- You’ll see EasySocial listed under “Connected Platforms.”
- This confirms the connection is live and recognized by WhatsApp.
Step 12: Meta Business Chat Message
- You’ll receive a message from Facebook Business in your WhatsApp chat list.
- The message says, “Connect to the Business Platform to continue sharing your WhatsApp contacts and chats.”
- Tap Connect in this chat.
- 📩 This is an official Meta prompt to finalize your coexistence setup.
Step 13: Connect to the Business Platform
- You’ll be redirected to a “Connect to the Business Platform” screen.
- The page explains:
- You can keep using your WhatsApp Business App alongside EasySocial.
- You can share up to 6 months of chat history.
- Group chat history cannot be shared.
- Tap Connect to the Business Platform to proceed.
Step 14: Confirm EasySocial as the Connected Platform
- You’ll see EasySocial listed again under “Business Platform.”
- Tap Finish Setting Up on EasySocial.
- You’ll get a confirmation message:
- ✅ “You’re connected to EasySocial.”
- 🎉 Your coexistence setup is now recognized by WhatsApp.
Step 15: Choose Whether to Share Chat History
- WhatsApp will ask if you want to share previous chat history with EasySocial.
- Choose one of the following:
- Share all chats: Transfer up to 6 months of chat history for context in EasySocial.
- Don’t share chats: Start fresh chat threads with existing customers in EasySocial.
- After selecting, tap Confirm.
💡 Most businesses choose “Share all chats” for better continuity.
Step 16: Wait for Connection to Complete
- WhatsApp will begin syncing your data.
- A message will appear:
- “Connecting your account. This could take up to 45 seconds.”
- Wait until the process completes successfully.
🎉 Final Confirmation
- Once setup completes, your WhatsApp Business App and EasySocial will now coexist seamlessly:
- You can reply to customers using either WhatsApp Business or EasySocial.
- All chats are synced securely via Meta’s Business Platform.
- EasySocial will have access to send and receive messages, manage automations, and log interactions.
🔒 Important Notes
- Keep your WhatsApp Business App active at least once every 14 days to maintain the connection.
- Do not remove EasySocial from the Business Platform unless you intend to disconnect.
- You can manage your connected platform anytime via
WhatsApp → Settings → Account → Business Platform.
