2. Creating Meta Developer Account

Meta Developer Account is where you can manage all Meta Apps. These apps allow you to create customised tools and functionalities for your users related to Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and more. We would use this account to get access to WhatsApp Cloud API.

Quick Start

Follow the steps below and quickly get started.

  1. Go to https://facebook.com and login to your Facebook Account.
  2. Open https://developers.facebook.com in a new tab, and click on "Get Started" button on the top menu bar.

  1. Click on "Continue" button on the welcome screen.
  2. Enter your phone number to verify your account.
  3. Enter the OTP that you receive on your Phone Number and hit Continue.
  4. Validate your primary email address. And click on the check box next to the Agreement statement. Click on "Confirm Email".
  5. Choose any options that best describes your role in the organisation. It doesn't really matter what you choose, after selecting click on "Complete Registration".

Woohoo! The Meta Developer account is all set.

Now that our Meta Developer Account is set up, we can now create a Meta App which will allow us to get access to WhatsApp Cloud API. Follow the next guide documentation to learn how to create a Meta App for enabling WhatsApp Cloud API.
