Display Name Approval for WhatsApp Cloud API

The display name that you choose while adding connecting your phone number to WhatsApp Cloud API must be approved by WhatsApp before you can start sending messages. In order for quick approval of the display name, you must ensure the following:

  • A display name should not violate WhatsApp Commerce and Business policies.
  • A display name should represent a business or its service, product or department.
  • A display name must have consistent branding with respect to a company's website or marketing name or collateral. Extra emojis or character symbols (such as trademark designs) will not get approved.
  • Do not add extra words to your display name unless the word indicates a country or region, a department or function or a test or demo account.
